Perhaps my favorite thing about 2008 is that for now the contests here are completed. I feel it is much easier for communities to grow in a positive way when there isn't such a big competition going on. Best wishes to whoever wins, but man am I glad it's over! I think I'm going to jump up and click my heels.

agree with you guys with a smile on my face I read your comments. Well let's get back to make some new music instead of wasting time with top 30 watching.
However - I guess we will fall back into this mentality once the next contest is in town. Let's pray it will take some time before this madness starts again.

Amen!

Contests have an unfortunate way of bringing out the worst in people instead of the best, but still ... they`re kind of fun too, as long as you don`t get too involved in them.

Well we're planning on running some more contests soon, but maybe not as big as the Real World one for a little while yet :-)

Well, to me it was really fun.
During the contest it became a habit of visiting the site almost every day and listen to the new songs. I've enjoyed that so much that I 'll just keep on doing that...
It just feels great to get in touch with this community, and I think it will lead to some fruitful collaborations.

When will we get to hear who won though?
And will there be a full ranking available? I know I wasn't even in the top 30, but still I'd like to have some idea of how well my songs did in the contest.

I agree with Scali, I'm very curious why the Real World contest is getting no mention, will a winner be announced ever?
