my biography

mit 11 jahren die gitarre entdeckt.ein jahr später die erste band.mit 17 kam der punk und damit jede menge krasser,prägender eindrücke.

ab 1984 diverse bands in freiburg wie:
cry havoc, the sons, masters of confusion, alternative chartbusters, mc oetker and the m.f. kochsudio. this bad life, electric circus, white man`s buffalo.
ausser ständigem üben nebenbei, fast immer ,auch tontechniker der projekte-bands.komplett-autodidakt.schon ein kleines wunder das man als analogrocker die computermaus in die hand nimmt-seit 1997.die erkenntnis,das pc`s auch nicht unbedingt besser sind,lässt auch heute noch das arbeiten mit dem atari zu.
...never change a running system.schliesslich will ich nur musik machen und nicht zum mars fliegen.
durch ständiges umziehen in verschiedenste locations,sind die inspirationen extrem unterschiedlich.lebensprinzip:
weniger ist mehr.besitze nur das was du wirklich brauchst-hinterlasse keine negativen spuren. :)

danke für deine netten Worte, heute konnte ich in deine Titel reinhören - vor allem die Gitarren gefallen mir gut! Ich kenne übrigens Freiburg von früher, weil ich lange Zeit in Karlsruhe gelebt habe und immer wieder in den Südschwarzwald und nach Freiburg gekommen bin. Mit dem Atari war ich viele Jahre vermählt, und weiß, dass auch heute noch damit gearbeitet wird - denn er läuft und läuft...

Thanks...I'd love to work with a producer.I've just been on pro tools a year and a half and have no real production experience.I know how it should sound...but just dont know enough YET on how to get there.You obviously know how to get there! Great sound Roland!

Hi again Roland.
When I listen to music here at MI7 I use a pair of Sony MDR-7509 headphones cause the speakers I have for this computer are lousy (to say the very least). A mix will always sound different in headphones than in 'real life' but I think your mix sounds very well balanced, with a clean and open sound. As far as I can tell there`s nothing lacking and no part of the register that`s overpowering but it`s a louder mix than your other songs, maybe due to a heavier limiting, you might consider a little less limiting on this mix or a little more on the others. All in all it`s a great song, well produced and mixed.
