Brottby, Sweden
I started writing songs in the middle of the 80:s.
My main instrument is the cello and I've played pieces like e.g. Boccerini's cello concerto. I started learning the mandolin and improvising around the age of 25.
My influences then were - and in many senses still are - classical music, e.g. J.S. Bach, progressive rock music, e.g. Genesis, Jethro Tull, Jazz, e.g. Pat Metheny, Keith Jarret, and traditional Keltic and Swedish music e.g. Planxty and Ranarim.
An important goal for me is always to make strong melodies. I love the blend of uncommon sound combinations and rythms.
This is my first attemt to try rerecording my oldest songs.
In addition to making my own music, I play in a Swedish traditional band (Herr Arnes Penningar - http://continue.to/herrarnespenningar), a pop duo (Blue Lime - http://www.myspace.com/realbluelime) and have a studio project (Studio Öst).
