my biography

- I got my first guitar as 15 years old. Bought for my own money, and started to play covers in a band with some friends. The Band, Little Feat, Ry Cooder,Rolling Stones, etc. was some of our great heroes. (and still are:)

- Since then I´ve been working 20 years as a sound technician/ designer in the theatre business, and done about 100 productions at the National Theatre in Oslo and other theatres as well. I have also composed music for theatre, shortmovies and televisionseries together with my companion Tov.

- In the last ten years or so I´ve been more and more focused on playing LIVE music again, and started writing songs for bandprojects.. This is now my main aim and passion, and hopefully we´ll be able to play a lot of gigs in the future!

Title: When tomorrow comes

Description: The name of the band is LIFESLIDE. We have been working on this project for about two years now, making new song and have also had some gigs. We now have about 25 original songs that we want to record. Most of the songs are composed by Ivar Arnesen and Roy Knudsen. The musicians on this recording are: Kjell: Hammond/backing voc, Morten: lead guitar/backing voc, Eivind: pedal steel, Egil: el.bass, OLGA: Drums, Roy: lead vocal/ guitar.

Ohh, there are so many....Grateful Dead, Neil Young, Little Feat, The Band, Bob Dylan, Led Zeppelin, Doctor John, Beck, Magazine, XTC, this is just the start....David Bowie´s Hunky Dory was the record(vinyl of course) that really made me want to write my own songs...
