What more can be said of the incredibly talented and successful singer/songwriter and producer of hit songs that have surpassed some of the biggest artists in today’s pop and smooth jazz arenas! With years of experience and a lifetime of musical storytelling, no one can tell the story quite like Denarris.

Denarris, like most successful artists and writers, credits a handful of individuals who have shaped his music from Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder to others like Burt Bacharach, Henry Mancini, Spyro Gyra, Earth, Wind and Fire, Tower of Power, Chicago and the Who. It’s no wonder that Denarris is as flexible, creatively savvy and loads of fun to listen to in view of his incredible display of influences.

His latest album – “Songs From the Heart” has been hailed as a chart topper with airplay from radio stations surpassing that of Prince, Destiny’s Child in AC and Earl Klug and Al Jaareau in Smooth Jazz. This is no new kid on the block by any stretch of the imagination. Working with musician, writer -producer Al McKay of Earth, Wind and Fire , launched his first single, “Wet Jam”, which was released in Europe, generating an array of anticipation meanwhile winning over fans and critics alike – with Denarris not only putting his hit making writing skills on the table, but with his never missing a beat approach to the production of this single as well. His influence and writing “Songs From The Heart” earned him a Best R&B nomination from All Access Magazine! Meanwhile, back in the states, Denarris was recently nominated in the category of "Best Male Model, Actor or Entertainment" website along side celebrities, Will Smith, Brian McKnight, LL Cool J and Chris Rock.airing on Blacktvonline.com.
Some years back, just shortly after catching the ear of Natalie Cole, he moved to LA and continued his musical journey eventually leading him to write “Songs From the Heart.” This album is choked full of smooth jazz, soul with accents of R&B and has poised him to receive many accolades that will definitively mark his career. In fact, Smoothjazz.com couldn’t stay out of the enthusiasm and excitement surrounding Denarris and his newest release and stated, “A smooth, rhythmic excursion into melody and warmth,” with Soul Express Magazine stating, “If you want the real deal, then check out Denarris. Do NOT overlook this CD.” An interesting side note, in Nov 2005, Denarris was personally contacted by an event coordinator in the Emirates who was interested in Denarris performing for a celebration for the Prince of Dubai who brought home (to Dubai) the 1st Olympic Gold Metal for skeet shooting competition in 2005!

Even with all of the attention and praise of Denarris and his music, Denarris is a true gentleman and will never forget those who have helped him along the way. His parents supported his love for the saxophone, which he played through high school. Early in his writing career, his aunt, who was terminally ill, whom he holds much affection and adoration for, gave him him her piano. Little did his aunt realize that some years later, because of her insight and love for her nephew with the gift of that piano, that Denarris would climb the musical industry ladder almost as high as it can go. With practice and evolving melody lines whisping from the piano that gave him his hopes and dreams, he will never forget those who have supported him, nor abandon his fans that have helped create a musical passion and rare story line that few ever attain – Denarris “Songs From The Heart” a journey just begun!

Hi Denarris, you're a professional, no doubt. Thanks for responding to my friend request. Came by to listen and vote. T'was not easy to pick one out of these very good songs, so I voted for all three. Happy to read that Stevie Wonder's been one of your influences. I've always been a fan of his.
