Description: Outerspace atmospherics with piano played by an alien.
Title: Underwater
Description: more ambient stuff.
Title: Girl In The Cafe
Description: I watched the wonderful HBO feature "Girl In The Cafe" and was for some reason inspired to compose this piece immediately afterwards. I did it very quickly but I guess I kind of like it.
Title: Camphor
Description: Another ambient, dreamy, atmospheric creation. It helps me fall to sleep...in a good sort of way.
Title: Into The Stratosphere
Description: A very moody, melancholy, mildy orchestral, ambient-esque sort of thing.
Hey Lasswell, we uploaded some new songs on our myspace profile... http://www.myspace.com/winprog Maybe you'd like to have a listen and tell us what you think.
"caml"? That makes sense now, and I'm sorry I overlooked that last time around.
I really liked your contributions over at RWR - you have a really good ear for how to add to other people's music while respecting the source materials. I encourage other people reading this to stop by at Lasswell's Realworldremixed page - it's well worth the time.
Hi Lasswell, how are you? Came by to listen more closely. It's hard not to listen when excellent quality is heard. What more can I say? Beautiful music. 'Girl in the Cafe' stands out for me, as it did for others before me apparently. You're absolutely right in liking this piece yourself. Best wishes from the Netherlands, Richard
Hi there, didn't mean to overlook you!Ahhhhh.... so relaxing. Yet all the melodies are like words on the tip of your tongue, the mind can almost hear words in them, but not quite, a truly remarkable exprerience!
Wow Deep and Moving. I Really love Ocean Cue and Girl in the Cafe. I know i asked you before If you were related to Bill Lasswell, but i see the name is spelled different. Another Very Deep Musician. Really Nice music you got here.
Ocean Cue: Even if it´s an 15 year old track, it didn_t lost anything of it_s beautiness. Very romantic one, I wished you had made it longer!
Underwater: nice build up with very pleasant sounds. good soundtrack for a diving movie. i can see the plankton and the algae ;-)
Girl in the cafe: it has this mood of the maintheme of "Diva" (from J.J. Beneix,1981) Nice one!
Camphor: very dreamy one indeed. again nice build up on the arpeggiosynth, very floating one.
Into the stratosphere: love the spare orchestration and the build up to a more groovin part. wonderful jazzy/ambient atmosphere.
Overall very enjoyable tracks that I am listening to while sitting at my desk and working. No doubt about soundquality, all tracks have a specific score quality for me!
I am only going to repeat the things i have said about Camerons Lasswell music here for that sake of blog and search engines and anyone who cares to listen more.
`Beyond the obvious skill of production and sound choice there remains a constant unfathomable thread of deep emotion that touches you someway in just about every piece he has ever done.'
This is a very, very nice surprise. These are beautiful tracks - great musical ideas backed by masterful production. The piano phrases have a nice Japanese jazz influence, and work just beautifully with the ambient sound design. Great work and thanks for sharing these.
