my biography

First of all... there's not enough room on these pages to do a full biography, nor would I want to.
But I'll start with the date of birth... I mean thats where any respect giving biography starts....
I was born 29 June 1953 in Kolding, Denmark....
and from there life was just laid out and exploded....
when I was 15 I immigrated to San Diego, California together with my parents and my little brother....
went to Lewis Junior high school, Mount Miquel High School, worked at a "tank station", sold water for "Silver Spring Water Company", went into the U.S.A. Army. The first station being in Ford Ord, California...then on to Ford Hood, Texas. A short trip around South Carolina and then on to Kornwestheim, Germany.
Believe me, this part of the biography holds a lot of stories and experiences, some that could be told and others that will allways be small details in the development of the human race never to be written or mentioned.
This is a period from Jan 1968 until Dec 1973 where a lot of different labels would be applieable to what went on, I won't bore you with the details and as this is a music site I will put emphasis on the music that kind of paralelled this crazy period of my life.
I'm a child of the music that history has allready recorded for a generation of those periods.
I'm a child of nations of cold wars and political lies and wrong doings.
I'm a child of fear for the behavior of adults who deceive.
I'm a child of the flower that taught the world that somewhere someone do believe.
I'm a child of the time where music missbehaved.
I'm a child......
I missbehaved.....
Dec. 1973 I deserted the U.S.A. Army and went back to Denmark......Then comes a whole different story.....
and then 1993 I went to Sweden .....and I still live here with my lovely wife.
Did I mention (Hey, this story could be very long), I'm a troubadour and an ameuteur at heart. I'm in it for the fun...
I'm in it for good.

my sounds

Title: This time of year
Songforcd
Description: Winter in Sweden can sometime be cold, long and depressing...This winter was....This song I wrote on the first day where the sun really bursted down to warm my longing body and mind
Title: Only Myself to Blame
Cd_1
Description: Standing at the decission that has the future by the balls...what's you gonna do?...heart or mind?...decissions.....decissions. This song is on my CD "The Norb". I met Rudi Mangst at a wedding in Burgenland, Austria, where mutual frinds were wed. I had been asked to play "Love Hurts" in the church and Rudi, as it turned out, had been asked to come and play with me as a very special surprise for the couple being married. We met the night before, we practiced the song ....I got drunk.... we played as a unity in the church and the crowd went crazy....yeah....yeah, well anyway rudi invited me to come to "Braunau, Austria" and record a CD...and I did. Rudi was the big catalyzator.. he made the whole thing funktion... got all the people together and the biggest deed of it all....even got me together....That's not easy, believe me... anyway on my CD I have the pleasure to introduce the following people who have helped me to fullfil a dream. Martin "The Spoon" Simböck: Perc.... Noidl: Harp.... Edgar Engleder: Accordian.... Norbert Asen: Sax.... Sarah Mangst: Voc..... Manfred Heine: Drums.... Christian "Hondax" Hohnl: Harp.... Petr Graf: E-bass, Synth-bass, Kontrabass and mix.... Rudi Mangst: Ac-guit,Violin, Mandolin, E-guit., Slide Guit., Voc, Dream-Choir, arrangement and Mix....
Title: Christina's Song
Cd_1
Description: A song 'bout the days where I was first together and "fell in love" with the woman that I now have the fortune to be able to call "My Loving Wife"......A song fully from the heart. The credits to all the people that I previous has acknowledged for "The Norb" CD goes also for this one.
Title: Little Things
Songforcd
Description: Everithing is big if it's made from little things. I wrote this song in a state of mind where I was kind of depressed and I really felt small as small can be.
Title: Junkie Finance
Cd_1
Description: This song I wrote as a protest against all people who profit from the "downfalls" of other people. In this case, kids/people being involved in a life of drugs. The words and feelings the I have written on the previous songs that are on my CD "the Norb" are also in its place for this song but here I would like to place a special "Thank You" to Norbert Asen for the wonderful Sax solo that I had the pleasure to witness when it was recorded in Rudi's bedroom....

my influences

Now this is easy... but then again it ain't...... there's so much, when I start thinking about it I get into a world that is never ending. .. I mean, when I was a young boy and heard The Beatles for the first time...whoa...something happened... when I heard The Who I got Whoked. The Kinks, Procoul Harum, The Pretty Things, Rolling Stones, and, and, and.... all these before I left Denmark for the U.S.A. Then when I came to California I was just thrown into another world where the West Coast Music fully blew my brain. Groups like The Doors, Iron Butterfly, Spirit, Quicksilver Messenger Service, Seals and Croft, Alice Cooper, Spooky Tooth, Jefferson Aiorplane with Grace Slick, Steppenwolf, Creedence Clearwater Reviaval, Cream, Frank Zappa and so on and so on... there was just so many heroes for a young boy to believe in. And offcause there are all the "Big" ones like Bob Dylan, Neal Young, crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Tom Waits and all the ones that I don't have in my head right at this moment... Through my years my ears have had the pleasure to hear more and more music personalities that I can put onto this long, long list of influences...some that I would like to mention are.... Steve Harley, Jethro Tull, David Munyon, David Blue, my good friends from Austria "Heavy Load", WWW.heavyloadmusic.de, check 'em out. I might mention that the boys from this group, amongst others, has helped me doing my very own CD. My influences hopefully will be a continuing never ending stream of new coming people exploiding the road of fantasy and belief.
