my biography

I do not have an impressive list of achievements, but I always had a passion for sound and music (not Sound of Music!!!). I have played the trumpet for about seven years when I was young. Also, most of the research I have done as a student of psychology was about auditory perception and the subject of my master's thesis was an auditory perception phenomenon called Time-Swelling. Furthermore, I have been writing music for quite some time and in the last couple of years I have also gained an interest in the technical side of it, resulting in an Audio Engineering Diploma from SAE Rotterdam. However, recently the focus of my attention has been shifting back to writing music again.

Here is a censored list of past projects:

Subliminal - Arrogance Prevails Ecstasy (1997)
Subliminal - Unraveling Utopia (2005)
Subliminal - The Hole In The Universe (2007)

Collaborations:

Van Buuringen, Dijksman, Goorden & Simons - The Ring And The Dance (1998)
Simons & Van Buuringen - Desperate Measures (2000)

haha! I've been working on writing a short acoustic / folkish / psychedelic EP. I'm taking a different approach and actually writing the music BEFORE recording (something I've always wanted to do).

How are things with you?

Triple M.

Thank you for your concern. The computer doctor said 300 dollars, please ... well, what are you gonna say—No thanks I'll fix it myself; now, where's my hammer? 8—)

Is your new avatar suggesting something subliminally that I should guard against? Are you subsconsciously putting nefarious thoughts out into the Mi7 atmosphere?

Well, that's a shocker. Who knew the CODE MONKEYS were so hot on the case—I love those Code Monkeys ... only took 'em four years to sort it out, though. But, hey Michel, that is such a small complaint when the future of our very wonderful Mi7 community is at stake ... eh? Well done, Code Monkeys!

Dude, did you notice I got Nastassja Kinski's avatar on my myspace page—Yeehah, Bo! Is she a hot chick or what!!! ... Well, thirty years ago, I agree Michel, but I think that's 'splitting hairs' ... isn't it? She's still a very nice lady! Haha!

Did you notice as well, that you're still more important to me than the other famous names on the page. Right on, Bruvver!

By the way, last week, got half way through "My Debt To You" and the computer froze, but up until that point it was a great arrangement and the track just started with those Subliminal type chords (pretty sure I recognised them) ... came back today and my laptop died. Hmm. So of course, no more, till the new one.

Anyway, so pleased you stayed a bit longer, too. Look at you with the clever witticisms "Artinaut beautifulness", Nice!

Thank you, my friend. rt

Hi,

I liked the mood of Autumn Thoughts. From mystical beginning to a darker and almost furious part and finally to fade out. Very good!

Yo, TripleM.
Thanks for your spin ... meister! —"or rt gets classical." Hadn't thought about it from that perspective; funny. 8—) Thank you for your support, Michel.

Hi Michel - My friend and I recorded "Feel So Low" this weekend... originally by Porcupine Tree. The song is in my music player on my profile.

I figured since you're a fan of Porcupine Tree you might be interested :)

Take care!

Hi, Cheers for the listen glad you enjoy what i've got down so far. I've just moved house so this is the first track I've started in my new place. Hopefuly I'll get down to recording the whole of 'Show me something' soon.

Going to look at a grand piano today so there may well be piano parts added to everything soon, can't wait!

Really like the tracks on here, been listening to 'when it's seeding time' while I write.

Hi Michel - just stopping by to leave some greets to you my friend. All the best and have a good one

Hi Michel,

thank you for the comment on "Dreams are buried here...".
I think also that it will be a good breaking point and heighten the tension between the songs with Ann.
Part 2 is already in a pretty finished stage (with more mi7 collaboration...) and I am already working on part 3 too . So, there's more to come soon.
