my biography

Composer, guitarist and music educator Mats Nermark has been active in the musical instrument industry since 1983 when he was asked to work in a music store to explain to the customers what you could do with synthesizers. Sort of funny since he considers himself mainly a guitar player.

After working in the music store he worked with two of the largest swedish distributors and has been the product specialist for a number of companies including Steinberg, TC Electronics, PRS Guitars, AKAI, Rocktron, Zoom, ART, Alesis, E-mu, Ensoniq, Fender, Gibson, etc. Then he moved on to become Director of European Marketing Services for Fender Musical Instruments Corp helping laying the groundwork for opening up Fenders first european office in Germany.

Since 1995 Mats has divided his time between music and the IT-industry.

He is also a regular review writer in FUZZ, the swedish guitar magazine.

At the Gear Page he was dubbed "King of Backing Tracks" since he consistently produced a lot of backing tracks in a lot of different styles. These will shortly be available through MI7 Libraries.

In addition to this Mats runs Overdrive Consulting, a company specializing in helping companies/corporations/municipalities with organizational change management.

Title: Make It Possible

Description: Once in every great while I come up with an actual song, i.e. a tune with lyrics. This was such a time and apart from exercising my vocal chords I also got to do a "wire choir" guitar solo in the style of Jay Graydon.
