my biography

Patrick Schouten was born in 1968 in the Hague, the Netherlands and makes music because he loves it. He comes from a musical family. His father and uncles played in a marching band that was founded by his grandfather.

Greatly inspired and influenced by Vangelis, the keyboard is his favorite instrument. For a couple of years now Patrick has played keyboards in the band Lekker Belangrijk, where he started out as a sound technician.
Besides playing in the band he loves to create his own music, completely based on electronic instruments and emotions. He writes his music in the new age and ambient styles.

Music to Patrick is a way of living. He has founded KSK Productions with two friends, to create music for commercials, films, videos and other projects.

Congratulation with your new home! I fully understand that you have your hands full at the moment. In fact, my girlfriend and I moved into our apartment three years ago. We were both so exhausted by the moving process that we put a lot on wait. Only now, after working quite intense for a few weeks, it's becoming the home we were picturing the first time we saw it. The new track sounds very promising and I’m looking forward to hear more.

Het is alweer een tijdje geleden dat wij 'contact maakten'. Ik heb (voor de nodige stemmen) mijn 'vrienden' tot nu toe niet hardnekkig lastiggevallen. Maar het is niet anders: het gaat er hier kennelijk om zoveel mogelijk vrienden te mobiliseren. Ik hoop dan ook dat jij even tijd wilt nemen om mijn songs (weer) te beluisteren en te oordelen of ze een paar puntjes waard zijn. Ik zou zeker mijn punten hebben gezet op 'Soul of the Mountain' (mijn favoriet). Maar je doet niet mee…
