Born 1965 in Ouderkerk a/d IJssel, nearby Rotterdam and Gouda. Grown up with playing the organ while listing to the radio. Always experimented with audio and video equipment. At the age of 7, he discovered the flanger effect by expirimeting with 2 old tape recorders, also many other soundeffects, building them too. When he was 16 he got his first own (5 channel) mixer. He was inspired by Ben Liebrand on radio Veronica with "thuismix". Few years later, almost 18, he began recording many local bands and choirs. Mixers grew with him. Yes it was the tape cassette age. Bob Clearmoutain put him in the rigth direction. Then he became free lance sound engineer. More than 14 years touring and seen many concert-halls, theaters, churches, cafe's, festivals, music academies, and so on. In 1992 he started a music recording studio together with his wife. It was 1994 when he studied Sound Engineering by o.a. Alan Parsons. After 3 times relocating, now they had their new build studio, based on many experience. The first recording in this studio was the 4th CD of Mazzeltov. In 2003, Roelof became producer for the first CD of NICCI. Started in 2004 the indi label MusicM.
