my biography
My greatest hobby is making music and recording my own and other people's music. Although it will remain a hobby, I have founded a small studio "Muziekstudio De Bovenkamer" (Music Studio The Upper Storey) (www.studiodebovenkamer.nl) where I do my recording, mixing, and mastering. Recently I have had a number of clients who needed a demo and the one I was particularly impressed by was the trio KC. You can hear their version of the wonderful song Malibu below.
I recorded the singer using a Rode NT 1 and the guitar by DI and a Shure SM 58. There is not much in terms of effects except of course for some compression on vocals and guitar. The guitar I have split, added a 20 ms delay to one channel and panned them L and R 50%. The reverb on the vocals is a short ambience preset in TC Electronics Megaverb and a longer tale concert hall preset in TC Electronics Classicverb. Wow, they sound so good!
