my biography
I am the founder and front-woman of Mercurine (www.mercurine.com), a dark electronic band based in Los Angeles, CA. Prior to Mercurine, I created a solo project called Oblivia, which is still alive though on a sort of hiatus. Music has been my life-long friend beginning with my first guitar at age 5. That progressed to piano, accordion, organ, synthesizers and cello.
Recent involvements with other bands and artists include:
Cello on albums Once Beautiful and Whispers In Rage by The Last Dance
Textural and percussive cello for portions of the soundtrack to Blood Gnome by John Lechago, Turning Point Films.
Live guest cellist appearance with Pigface at the Key Club, Los Angeles, CA on the "Preaching to the Perverted" tour, 2001
Live keyboardist and cellist for Cassandra Complex on Y2K tour (US and Germany)
Live cellist and bass player for Faith and the Muse on Blackout AD Tour 1999
Cellist for black tape for a blue girl 1996-1998, featured on Remnants of a Deeper Purity as both cellist and cover model, additional cello on With My Sorrows and As one aflame laid bare by desire.

- Hi Mera, hope you're still fine and busy making music. I have added a new tune on my page called the caves of mara morbis which is supposed to be a part of a fantasy story. I am looking for a singer to add some vocals. Tom suggested to me that you would probably like this track and may want to try something on it. Perhaps you'll find some time to listen and make up your mind ?

As you may know, I have rejoined The Cassandra Complex for some gigs in May. Original line up plus Volker!
One thing I am struggling with is the cello part in Dion Fortune. I wonder if you could help me by telling me the notes (in true CX style I don't read music....!). I want to replicate it on guitar. If you can tell me the notes I can work it out from there.

- A bit late perhaps since your beautifull version of auld lang syne won a MI7 contest but I will let you know anyway: I like auld lang syne a lot. I know the poem, the story behind it and the traditions around it well and I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered it in your profile (before the contest). We are producing a Celtic piece at the moment and I love the strong mystical atmosphere it creates.
