my biography

whatup homeslice.

my name is officially adam patrick keating but i go by coyotito in the music world. named after the baby from the john steinbeck novel 'the pearl'. excellent book...very thought provoking.

i was born in fredericton, new brunswick, canada on january 16th, 1985. beautiful city. i lived in near-by saint john for most of my school years though, then shipped off to toronto to attend york university.

i started playing guitar when i was about to enter grade 12. by the time i finished university i was good...and i learned about a whole bunch of different kinds of music (and different kinds of drugs but that's another, related story) through some really cool people.

after finishing the 4 year party at york (graduated with a bachelors of fine arts, honours in visual arts...oh yea, i forgot to mention that i'm an artist) i moved back to east coast canada to take care of my mom.

so now i just make loads of electronic music on my computer and play guitar and sing by myself or with bands...whenever i'm not working on paintings or supply teaching or bar tending or hosting talent shows....i'm like odd-job jack i guess.

i joined this site so people would hear my music. so if you take the time to listen...please e-mail me and let me know what you think. good, bad, whatever.

cheers dude(tte)

my sounds

Title: the warm glow of the light everlasting
Pineapple_party
Description: some strange acoustic guitar with a dash of hip-hop and three scoops of coyotito make this a strange and wonderful song. one of my favorites...almost as good as butterfly.
Title: the kiss was bliss
Photo_32
Description: so i went to elemetary school with this chick who recognized me 12 years later on my birthday because i was the kid that painted murals. then 9 months later i saw her at the same bar on her birthday...now we're taking it nice and slow...i love her lips. (ps - girl in photo...not her, my ex. the ex from the song 'the part of me that died')
Title: the part of me that died
Kala1_edited
Description: i wrote this song when i went on a break with my ex. it was her idea. we got back together but subsquently broke up one day after our one year anniversary. so i took the lyrics i wrote and a guitar lick from another of my songs and made this. i hope it helps people through tough relationship-related times. 'i wanna dive to the bottom of this bottle i've bought / so the bad memories can be forgot.'
Title: fornication vodou
Bull_s_eye
Description: straight up electronic with some trippy bits and some dancy bits all culminating into some crazy soundscapes. lyrics inspired by sex.
Title: butterfly (tao te ching)
Buzzz
Description: mellow electronic sounds laced with classical guitar and psychadelic sound textures. lyrics inspired by the tao te ching...which is like the bible of taoism, except it's more of a poetry book. and taoism is not so much a religion as it is a way of life. the question you have to ask yourself is am i dreaming of a butterfly when i'm asleep or is the butterfly dreaming of me when i'm awake?

Hi Adam, how are you? Came by to listen and vote.
Your music sounds pretty original. That's very good.
'Butterfly' stands out for me (10 points). 8 Points to the other two songs.
Hope you'll find some time to listen to my songs and, naturally, I would appreciate a vote or two from you…
Greetings and succes from the Netherlands,
Richard

Hi Pat,
Indeed a strong case of coincidence, the intro of Butterfly felled great, like there were a whole army of muscito's comming afther me instead of butterflies.
By the way in our dutchy country they use to say when something like love is involved, it feels like having "butterflies in our stommick". weird thoughts aint?
And ofcourse ex'ses are always a great source of inspiration, but don't get to many or you dont know where to go with all that inspiration anymore.
Good luck with it and thumbs up !

Hey There and Welcome in this beautiful community. Your songs are something special. I like all 5 but agree with my mate from Flaming Bess - Butterfly is probably the track which is the best fit to my own comfort zone . Great production and nice electroni bits and pieces. Have a lot of fun and enjoy MI7.com
