my biography

Arisu is an underground psychedelic ambient/drum'n'bass project formed in 2005 by TJ & Gaia. The band draws from dark and ethereal soundscapes and relatively complex breakbeats mixing them with psychedelia and dark lyrics.

The band is heavily influenced by the '60-70's acid rock movement, bands such as Jefferson Airplane, Pink Floyd, Cream and The Jimi Hendrix Experience. Newer bands like Air, FSOL and Aphex Twin have also been an influence, amongst countless others.

Arisu tends to shift between ambient/tech/breaks. It's a living organism as itself and doesn't care about boundaries between genres. This is a brainchild of mine, sometimes dark, sometimes there's some light on the horizon. Most of the time, I'm nothing but an instrument between the entity called Arisu and the music it brings to life.

This is a great, great track. It really shows your influences, but at the same time puts your personal stamp on it.

The atmospheric illbient background sounds are great and really build up the track well.

I would love to see a variation on the same theme - sort of like how FSOL used to release their singles - where you could have many takes on the same basic idea, but with radically different takes.

This is absolutely great though - thanks for sharing.
