my biography

Jean-Pierre Covini played with a number of different blues-rock and rock'n'roll bands. At the beginning of the eighties, he accompanied Harry Spencer, a well-established songwriter and poet from Madagascar, performing in concert throughout Spain and France including the reknowned Festival d'Orange in 1983. He composed in 1985 a suite of sounds and musics to performed live in art exhibitions with the french poet Pascal Sablier.

Jean-Pierre Covini continued to compose music for himself as well as for international radio networks including the BBC and Radio France Internationale. "The Hunger - Project" and Les Prisonniers du Monde Rural" were commissioned for Amnesty International, and were broadcast in Europe and in the USA.

At the same time Jean-Pierre wrote a featured musical column for Roland Castro's weekly publication "Legendes du Siecle".

After meeting the Zen Comunity in Paris during the eighties, Jean-Pierre Covini began to paint original calligraphies with traditionnal black china ink and watercolors inks, keeping his work secret for years, except for two private exhibitions in Teneriffe, in the Canary Islands.

Still had a listen to your music weeks ago but didn_t took the chance yet to comment.

This is terrificly nice music.
Frio Silencio: I love the combination of NuJazz and portuguese vocals. Especially saxophone and guitar are played so well and tastefull. A real nice track for a club and for chillin.

Slowtime: This is a hot groove and I like how you added more electronic elements. The vocals give a very special atmosphere. Again: sax and guitar are a treat!

Overall great music!

Hi again Jean-Pierre.
I know time is hard to find and so I really appreciate you taking the time to listen. Thank you for your kind words and yes I guess you`re right, I didn`t really pay so much attention to the Brass sound, it is a little cheap. But the electric piano I actually chose very carefully, I feel that certain sound cuts through the mix without being too loud.
I`m looking forward to hearing your new song, please let me know when it`s up and don`t let the hectic life in Paris steel all your time.

Thanx for the add and the comment on the mindXpander track =) I really your chilled and laid back music. Some really good stuff. Sounds like the stuff you'll find on any Ibiza Chillout CD. This is the type of music I really enjoy listen to when I'm up late working. Keep it up!
