my biography

Robert Schnettler and Brian Sears are Nemuriyume.

Brian's career in electronic music began as DJ Ebbenflow in 1994. He continued on as a resident DJ at the Broken Beat Lounge in Richmond Virginia between the years of 1997 and 2001 and was 1/2 of the electronic band Sleuther from 1997 to 2004. Robert began writing experimental acoustic music in the early 90's, graduating to electronica by 1997. Robert's solo project Thirdhand produced one album entitled There but for the Grace of You Go I in 2001.
Both Sleuther and Thirdhand were featured on the album Planetarium Electronic Emissions From Richmond VA Released in 2000 by Planetary Records.
Robert Schnettler and Brian Sears formed Nemuriyume in 2005. Through Nemuriyume Robert and Brian Seek to deliver the listener into another reality via carefully layered melodies and intricately crafted rhythms. Two years in the making, their self titled debut album is at once genre bending and utterly unique.
