my biography

Born in Santiago, Chile, raised in Costa Rica and California, Marcelo Radulovich is a purveyor of creative music and visual art. From the lo-fi, hack days with The Assholes, to the original blend that was Playground Slap, to the fusion rock sounds of Merry Go Down, to a series of CDs, songs and sound experiments under his name, as well as numerous collaborations with members of Trummerflora and various creative entities in the San Diego/LA area.

Feeding the marriage and a homegrown recording studio, Radulovich has been residing in Cardiff, CA for the past few years, spending his time writing / recording for various projects, and working with graphics and video.

my sounds

Title: The Ocean
New-slap
Description: The marriage of funk and ambience, with lyrics that affectionally speak of our birthplace: The Ocean. Written by Marcelo Radulovich, performed by The Playground Slap, with Radulovich on vocals, guitar and airsynth, Bill Ray on drums, Mike Keneally on guitar, David Ybarra on bass and backing vocals and Ray DeZonia on keys and backing vocals. Recorded and produced by Marcelo at his home studio.
Title: Rat Fuck Snake
Desert-mr
Description: Recorded at Radulovich's home studio, Rat Fuck Snake poses what some may call critical questions: fantasy, politics, look in the mirror... at the heart of it all one finds a good, new-fashioned rock song, with Enrique "Bugs" Gonzalez on drums and Marcelo on all other instruments and voices.
Title: Pueblo
Desert-mr
Description: Recorded at Radulovich's home studio, Pueblo is a spanish ballad replete with samples, guitars and vocals washed in reverb and soulful playing, with Enrique "Bugs" Gonzalez on drums and Marcelo on all other instruments and voices.
Title: From His Bottle
New-slap
Description: Country flavored sway with lyrics that speak through surreal imagery. Written by Marcelo Radulovich, performed by The Playground Slap, this song features beautiful playing all around, with Radulovich on vocals and guitar, Bill Ray on drums, Mike Keneally on guitar, David Ybarra on bass and backing vocals and Ray DeZonia on keys and backing vocals. Recorded and produced by Marcelo at his home studio.

Hi Marcelo, how are you. Time for me to visit the last artists on my friendslist. So I came by to listen more closely and vote. This is fabulous stuff! Great band, great instrumentalists. Love 'The Ocean', 'Rat Fuck Snake' and the other songs. Really dig Mike Keneally's guitar. Each song 10 points, easy enough.
Hardly dare ask you to check out my songs. Hope you like them though…
Best wishes and success from the Netherlands,
Richard
