my biography

UPDATE FOR JULY 2008: Slowly but surely, my son and I are finally finding our footing again. It hasn't been easy (there's an understatement if ever there was one!) and although I have been obviously absent from mi7, I have held your kind wishes and prayers close to my heart.

Life isn't meant to be easy. I just never expected that life would be so ... exciting. :-o

In the meantime, the Audio Podcasts on Autism have gone global and have been linked to by a number of reputable persons and organizations including, but not limited to, Dr. Tony Attwood, the Autism Societies of America, Canada, New Zealand, India and South Asia, and Research Autism (UK).

Thanks again to all of you for your words of encouragement and courage during the most trying months to date. I promise to be back in full swing in a few more weeks.

I listen to this song when life is overwhelming because it reminds me that life isn't always fair but you can, if you try hard enough, find a way to bear the scars with pride and courage.

my influences

Everything in life is an influence, be it another songwriter or composer or sounds from nature. There is even music in silence if you listen hard enough. So when I am asked to define what and who my influences are I can only say that whatever touches my heart -- negative and positive -- is an influence on my music and how I perceive the world around me.
