my biography

Steen Larsen's biography & gear!

Born in Copenhagen, Denmark, '61, too late for Hendrix and The Beatles! But all in good time for Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Slade and more! Really started up the electric playing around 76 - 77, just in time to pick up Ritenour, Carlton, AND The City Boys. Try to find their albums, SUPER progrock, and serious GUITAR playing by Mr.Mike Slamer. Possibly (by my knowledge, anyway) the first (and NOT Eddie Van Halen!) to do tapping, pull on/off and shit!
Then in '78, Toto released their first album, and instantly, Steve Lukather and I became "friends and soulmates". To this day i can't come up with another player as complete, musically gifted, and rockin' as Luke, and we even share the same initials (he he)

Enough said, here's my gear:

For live gigs, early '80th Marshall JCM 800 Combo(ROCKS) and Peavey Classic 30(BLUES), and selected pedals,
among others, two original TS-808 Ibanez tubescreamers, huh?!

My (electric)guitars:
The Heritage CM 150, '94.
Fender '60 Anniversary Strat.
Ibanez RG 550.
Squier Telecaster.
Tokai/Seymour Duncan Strat (profile picture)!
Yamaha, RBX 374, Bas

My (acoustic)guitars:
Takamine EF 407 (Koa)(steel)
Alhambra 3C (nylon)

For homerecording:
Mackie CR 1604-VLZ mixing desk
Cubase SL 3 / Cubase 5,1
Gina 24 soundcard, 2 in 8 out
Lexcicon MPX 100
Joe Meek, Three Q
Roland, SC 88 Pro, Midi board

PlugInns:
IK Multimedia, AmpliTube 2
-------------, Ampeg SVX
-------------, T-Racks
-------------, CSR
-------------, SampleTank 2
EZ Drummer
Cool Edit

That's it ( for now!!!)

my sounds

Description: Acoustic/Electric kind of "opening" song! Takamine ac. and Heritage Elec.
Title: G'eeese Suite
Noalbum_80

Hi Larsen, long time ago since we made contact.
I've set out to vote for my friends here at Mi7. But you're not in the contest! Nevertheless, I hope you'll find some time to listen to my songs again and vote for me. Much appreciated, thanks…
Love the sound of your guitars. I'm very happy with my Squier Strat with Lindey Fralin pickups.
All the best,
Richard

really impressive and emotionally guitars. Love your style and vibrato . You've got the right feeling for the right tone at the right time instead of noodling and fiddling around like so many others do. If you find some time check out "The Caves ...." and "For the ones we love" on my page. Greetings from Düsseldorf and thanks for being a friend. And by the way I'd love to hear some more and some longer songs from you. This community needs talents like yours.
