my biography
I live in Rottne, a nice little village in south of Sweden. Me and my wife have two beloved children, a girl born in 1997 and a boy born in 1999.
I'm a system developer and work as a consultant. I've been working with software development since 1998.
I believe every individual is given attributes - like ability to create music - as gifts and that these attributes can be developed. Man should not boast over the attributes, but instead use them.
A kid I knew in school many years ago created music using an Amiga computer in the late late 80's and early 90's. I liked the "Amiga sound" and the possibility to create exiting music this way, so I started in 1993 using an Amiga computer and a tracker software. Back then, it was 8-bit sound and 4 channels......I remember those days with nostalgic feelings.
Years later I started using PC and the ModPlug Tracker software, but I wasn't satisfied with using a tracker really, so in 2007 I bought some other gear and started creating music in - at least according to me - a more easy and natural way than using a tracker software. I wanted a better way for me to express music that flows from within me.
Today, I'm learning to use the new gear. It will have to take the time needed.
For those few who might seek after me by my old Amiga scene nick, it was "DiReiZ". I searched the internet for it a few years ago and it seemed to be a word in portuguese or spanish? Embarrasing, I chose a nick back in 1992/93 that I didn't thought was an actual word, but it seems to be one. Worse, I don't know what it actually means either. If anyone knows the meaning of the word, please let me know :)

It's the piece I've finnished first with the new gear. Used synths include the free VSTs Silkworm (www.simple-media.co.uk) and Crystal (http://www.greenoak.com/crystal/).

- Hi Mats, I know all about lack of energy and inspiration but it`s good to see you`re back in style.
Your Sunrise track is very nice, (seems to be a busy morning in between, getting the kids off to school I guess).
Great rhythm in your Changing track.
I don`t know if you`ve ever actually watched anyone walking in space? For me that is associated with very slooow moootion, (maybe you should rename it "Space Walk On Acid").

Yes, all music for "Trains!" was very fun to do!!! More music is on its way... And I'm really happy that you liked the solo piano pieces - that music is very dear to me. I guess my music is expressive, one of my goals with my music is to create some kind of "inner images" for the listener.
The Sunrise is quite cool. I especially like the intro (and how the theme returns at about 1:29). Don't know if the sun is rising or setting... ...hmm, after one more listen -maybe your wife is right after all.
I'm fine by the way (förutom att semestern är slut = mindre tid till musik och annat... ..och så har man ju alltid saker att stå i när man har tre små underbara yrväder till barn hemma...).

- Hi Mats, nice to hear the new tracks . Seems you have discovered Metamorphosis for the beat in Changing !! Nice groove man. On Space Walk I see a virtual video game - a pac man in space followed by aliens who want to eat him up. nice gaming music Mats.Creativity patter has a nice very easy to recognise melody which is good because people only have to listen once and they feel familiar with it. all good songs have such a hookline.. all your songs are quite happy from an emotional perspective - like that already too much dark stuff arounf in the world. I like your idea about the pattern i creativity and you`re right there is a certain pattern, but there`s one twist you left out in your song (at least it often happens to me) it`s the twist where you start with one idea and ends up with something completely different in the end.

thank you for your kind words on "Taken".
What happened that day in Antwerp was really sad and shocking, and unfortunately this kind of violence and racism happens everyday over all the world. So many lives are crushed and broken over and over again.
Luckily we have our music to create bridges between people, overcome our differences and make us clear that we all feel the same joy, and the same grief, whatever we believe in.
I hope this song can help in reminding us that...

thank you for the message.
In the coming months we will record the final songs and do the post production. We hope to finalize everything in the first half of this year. This should result in a cd or at least a download version of the album in the second half of 2008.
I would love to add some real classical players to the recordings (violin, cello, etc...) but I doubt that I will find a budget to hire them and pay the recording in a studio.
