Nürnberg, Bayern Germany

We Gardeners began our career in 1996 at our school in Oberasbach,
a suburb of Nürnberg. Yet in the first years we played in various local clubs. In this time we also recorded our first studio album "Leaving the Ground", which unifies saucy PinkPop with stalwart and indigenious Rock.
The crowning ending of our days as a band of pupils pictured the gig within the SchoolJam-Competition at the music fair in Frankfurt/M, where we earned much plaudit by the jury and won a gig at the summer party of the german federal president in Berlin. Following nationwide gigs, e.g. in Stuttgart, as soon as in big regional clubs, came hand in hand with the recording of our second album "One step Further" and a gig at the "international youth meeting place" in Auschwitz, Poland, where we played for about 4000 people. So far, the most emersing gig took place in the official showcase of the Popkomm in Berlin. We played there at the "Club 23", which was addicted to the "most intresting, auspicious international newcomer".
In 2006 came a very big shock for us - both privatly and as a band: On July 31st our friend, brother and singer Alexander Uhlig died in a car accident and we didn't play any gig for over a year...
We used this time to rearrange and reform our musical ambitions and our anticipations of further developments. In 2007 we had our comeback on stage at a local open-air festival. These months we are - besides scholastics and work - working both on material for further productions and new dates for live gigs. Now in 2008 we hope to broaden our activities: Both a new studio album and as much livedates as possible are designated!
