every vocal is an improvisation.I never write anything down.I conjure up an atmosphere and let the madness begin.Sometimes odd and unsettling but always pure. Each song is part of the on going film noir fest in my head. The characters, sounds, and stories are taken from my life.
Born on April 8th 1974 to and Irish mother and Algonquin Indian father my childhood was full of ritual, magic, mystery, and fair share of utter misery! My best friend murdered at age 23 and near loss of my brother left me forever composing in a dark place. My work outside of music has always been underground and in a sort of a underworld. That's where a lot of my sound and edge comes from.Through my work I saved up enough for some decent gear and then started my voyage on the sunset strip.Headlining at The World famous Whisky a go go on New Years Eve seem to pay off.I had producers and A&R interested now! There's always a catch though, something they want to change or fix. So I decided to go with television a series developed by VIACOM for VH1.They followed me everywhere. Down the street. Driving in my car. At the studio. And to the grocery store. All was lovely!! BUT then.....they wanted me to give up the rights to two songs. So I fled from the city of LOST ANGELES and have been on the run ever since. First it was Tokyo. I was the QUEEN of EVIL in a futuristic roller blade show put on by COCA COLA Japan. At night I was singing in Roppongi and Shinjuku. Then Athens(so much inspiration). I learned to play piano there and did some commercial work. Then Corfu, music and cooking with the gypsies.whatever we conjured up during that meteor shower and full moon is here to stay! Now finally where I've been for the last 9 months writing away in my little English cottage with my loves out in the middle of beautiful NO WHERE!
Barbers Adagio,Baraka,sketches of spain,angels with dirty faces,unison,pagan poetry,fire,water,dark clouds,chopin,shore leaves(tom waits),a case of you,temptation,dead can dance,addiction,self destruction,knife throwing and the circus!
