my biography

From a very young age music has enchanted me...
It all started with me playing in various bands during my high school years, and in the meantime taking classical guitar lessons at The National Greek Music Academy.
At 17 I formed my own group and appeared alongside some top bands in Greece. That was also the year when I began to write my own songs.
In the next couple of years I studied piano and music theory and then embarked on a tour in various clubs in Athens and other Greek cities. In my travels I met prolific Greek composer Thanassis Gaifilias, who was a strong influence in my next professional steps.
After that I experimented with jazz, playing piano and bass, and then salsa, performing with Rasta de Combre, and later on with members of Apurimac on several occasions.
In the early 90’s I played in Architektoniki rock club in Athens, where I met the Katsimiha brothers and toured with them for two years. I also participated in one of their albums. After that I sang in Stavros tou Notou club also in Athens, and then at Ellopia in Cyprus.
In 1998 I recorded my first album To Skotadi Kaigetai (Darkness is burning) and two years later my second album, Mia Thalassa pou agriepse (A stormy sea).
Since then I have been very busy composing and participating in various albums.
Finally, during this year my new personal album will be released. A new era is about to begin for me…

Thanks very much for responding. 'Wide Open' is beautiful. It's a moving song (the flute plays a great part in this). Perfect voice, intense, emotional, perfect build-up together with the instruments, perfect production. What more is there to say? Can't wait for a few follow-ups on your page.
All the best,
Richard

Thank you for the add. I like in wide open how the instruments and vocals move in and out of the forground. Great mix.
