*dances and sings randomly*
New pedal... New pedal... New pedal...
Digitech Death Metal Pedal... *drool*
Huge amounts of gain, great tone shaping from three knobs (low, mid, and high) each one can completely change the sound with just a tiny movement. I set it up with a suggested setting from the booklet provided, and got an 'alright' sound, but with a tiny increase in mid and low, and boost from 12 o clock to 3 o clock for the high and it beefed the pedal amazingly!
I never realised how hollow my GLX heavy metal pedal sounded until I hooked up this with it for comparison.
No contest.
Admittedly the DM should have cost about £49, and I got it (at the expense of my amazing father) for £25 (can't beat show prices, eh?), and the GLX cost me about £25 as well... but that was full price...
Aaaaaanyway... I vaugely feel I should write a proper review about it. Seriously. That bored. What can I do to cure boredom?
I have some ideas but... no... children could read this. Or at least people with childlike minds could.
*cough*
Yeah.... bye...
The thing that really bugs me is... when I'm at my dad's house on a weekend... I can play guitar like the shit... but back at my mum's, I struggle...
Is it the atmos of a guitarists house?
Is it the annoyance that I can't turn it up at my mum's?
Nay, I hear ye cry...
Do I? Nevermind...
I think it might be something to do with the air at my dad's... it's more relaxed and open... I can wander downstairs with my guitar and quietly play unamplified while we watch TV...
I can question my dad about techniques and he can help and demonstrate and doesn't complain (too much) that I'm interrupting the programme...
Or maybe it's because it's the weekend and I haven't had to sit through 5 hours of teachers regurgitating the same shit about our exams coming up in a bit and how we should revise...
I already know godammit! Stop saying that and teach us!
Or maybe I just have a more chilled out and relaxed feel because of the fact I get up several hours later than normal...
Who knows...? I don't.
What's your opinion?
Me, my guitar and my ugly mug jammin'!
Enjoy people!
I accept no responsibility for broken glasses, monitors, any mirrors in the room, suicides, damaged eyes/blindness or any brain damge whatsoever...
Yay! My guitar is fixed!
It plays better than new, the whammy is softer, and I have more pull off... less tension... and this is the best bit...
THE STRINGS STAY ON AND DON'T SNAP!
FUCKING YES!
Is it actually worth spending time and effort on blogs? Do people actually give a shit care what you have to say?
Or should blogs be left to hightly emotional teenagers with a strange addiction to ariel black and white photographs of themselves on myspace?
Nah, they are a good waste of good brain cells time waster I suppose.
God life can get boring.
If you are looking for more bollocks philosophy then go somewhere else...
I'm done...
This blog has sucked away 5 minutes of my life, goddamnit!
...
I'm annoyed at my new guitar... Got it for christmas, Ibanez S series, custom built, double-locking tremelo bridge... awesome neck... and so on.
Problem is, I've snapped 5 strings since I got it.
It's getting a bit ridiculous. One or two the lighter strings yeah... but a .42 gauge E string snapping? Something's up.
Taking it to the shop, I think there is too much tension on the strings, but I could be wrong...
I'll keep anyone who reads this updated xD
