They're called things such as "patch archives" and found on forum postings as "share your presets" links. They are the places you go on the web to download new and exciting presets for your software instrument, sequencer, or sampler. These places are spread out in various user groups, forums, websites, bit torrents, and ftp directories. In the end, after searching, you really don't know what the preset sounds like until you find it, download it, uncompress it and manually move it to where it belongs. Announcement: This is the old way.
When does the mood strike for a new preset? Usually when you are in the middle of a session, right? Are you the type who stops what you're doing and goes on the hunt for a preset?
Or –
Are you the type who downloads (or buys) each and every available preset bank, library and/or collection for your synth, keeping them all in a master directory on your computer just in case you need one from the thousands you have?
You could say both, because we know from experience that there are hundreds of ways to work when getting the sound you want out of your software instrument, but no matter how you work, KeyToSound has made it easier for you.
Your synth is a smart beast for sure, but why doesn’t it make auditioning, uploading and downloading presets for it easier? This is a fundamental part of any software workflow, isn’t it? Well, its one thing KeyToSound thought of a while ago…and the solution is NetNotes – the new way of getting presets.
NetNotes offer you preset sharing and management in a way like no other - real time. That's right. NetNotes preset auditioning happens in real-time, so you can audition presets designed by others right in the mix before you acquire it. No guessing if it will work with the session, no needless downloads of presets you'll never use... and no more wasting time!
