I uploaded a new song, called Come Back To Me. It's my first band recording at the SAE. Actualy I played all instruments, did the engineering and mixing. Vocals were done by a friend. Hope you lilke it.
Hi. Some customers might have a "Live or Rehearsal room" which is more than 40 m2, and the "Acoustic Solution" application doesn´t seem to have any suggestions for these kind of rooms above 35m2 in size...?
Helmholtz resonance is the phenomenon of air resonance in a cavity. The device was created in the 1860s by Hermann von Helmholtz to show the height of the various tones.
Helmholtz resonance finds application for engines to improve subwoofers, acoustics instruments and room acoustics. Using helmholtz resonator we can absorb a certain frequency.
So our foam are especially design for acoustic principal, we are done research on that were we create a special density add with chemical components to improve all fire rating even only we mention ISO 3795 but also we have more specification than that.
Acoustic Question .
Modes???? –yes, this is a big big problem in all rooms across the world. As we have small room we have really big problem, also all bass frequency became into the human range frequencies. As we know bass frequencies are omidirectional, so they are every here. Big wave length make high and zero sound pressure spread out into the room. Sounds wave’s works with compression and rarefactions this explain positive and negative pressure. Ours hears just understands pressure variation, even are positive or negative we just understand like positive pressure. If you have a look at graphic modes we see a lot of booms. These booms are made by positive and negative pressure (microphone are almost the same as ours hears). Also when we are on the nodes or zero pressure we see o hole on the graph were no sound seems to be there. In certain position in the room we can have pressure variation or no pressure (nodes), you can imagine we have a complex matrix across the room as the room dimension decrease we also increase all the problems. Are we analyse sound distribution into the room we will arrive to a corner position, because for all bass frequencies/modes we are at the position with the most energy for all these range frequencies. So makes sense put there bass traps. As we increase the bass trap deep we also increase the efficiencies for extended low frequencies. So we hane a a Vicoustic Super Bass 90 to attenuate bass into the room.
1ª reflexion
I will advise flexi 75, we create cavities and we incise de thickness because we also achieve an excellent behaviour fort that problem. Also this panel can be tuning by Helmotz resonator.
If you are interesting to create a free reflection zone I need to see a sketch from your room. Just e-mail me.
Can you please tell me if your foam is polyester or polyether ?
Also, I have a rectangualr room wich is 3,72 x 3,326 x 2,615 (m) and my goals are
1. Minimize room modes; 2. Create a Reflection Free Zone;
How can I achieve that ?
One of my problems is with my sidewalls (the longest dimension) one has a door from a closet and the other one has a window. How can i achive symmetry to have the best (possible) stereo image ?
We have been researching about 2 year on acoustic foam. The main question was “How we improve the efficiency of acoustic foam?” So we found a Flexi design. That one have more efficient than usually you find on the market. Because they have a cavity in side witch provide an extra absorption by bounding waves in side the cavity. Also you can put in side a helmoltz resonator to improve mid bass absorption (or tuning). So that is a lot of improvement on acoustic panel foam.
So, we don’t do comparison but we now the potential of this design. We have been on Music Messe on Frankfurt and all who have tested the effect were impress. More than de graph we can heard the difference.
About unites we use the standard absorption coefficient (are not in sabins).
Hi. I have just heard about Vicoustic and it lokks tempting. Last night I read the auralex catalogue where it claims to be superior to all competitors! How do Your products compare to i.e. auralex and WavePanels?
Hi Rodrigo, thank you for your request. I´ll be glad to help you. Can you please make a sketch with the dimentions and angles and send it to me? It´s much easyer to understand this way, and i´l make you a proper 3D with the sugestions for you.
Hi Doc, I have a small room in my house I would like to convert it to a composition room, one piano some modules and my computer and guitars, the size is 7.5 meters x 3. On both sides of the 7.5 I have windows but on one side is shaped at 45 angle, on the other side is open to the rest of the house, and my familly is not that thrill about me making music at 3:00 a.m., so I will have to shut that down and build a door also. Hight is 2.40 mtrs and a hard surface floor (linoleum?? I don't know the english for this material but you find it at the kitchen and is made of ceramic) So, what should I do with this proyect? Thankyou Rok
