greetings juan d; your englise, i'm sure, is much better than my espaneol; but, it didn't seem to matter. i usually prefer dryer sounds; but, your use of fx is very creative. each tune is unique; and, you know how to work the hook, whether it is rhythmic, melodic or lyrical. all good snappy, catchy & interesting material. wind in your sails, derek stevie mcp
I like "Se Su Nombre" ... the slightly dissonant elements you place here and there makes it very interesting to listen to and "Amante" is also very good ... a nice blend of different sounds ... great "flow" in that track. If I may put forward a suggestion though, I feel the drumsounds on an overall basis could have been a little brighter but that`s just an opinion, no criticism. These are great tracks.
Thank you Juan for taking your time to listen once more and for your kind words. I`ll tell you how I did it. I put an EQ before the broadband compressor and rolled of the lows under 50 Hz, after the compressor I added just a little extra Highs with another EQ and then I compressed only the Mids and Highs just a little bit with a multiband compressor. That opened up the stereofield and made it shine.
Hi Juan I have just reproduced, remastered and reloaded all my songs. If you have the time to spare please come over, listen and tell me what you think. Take care!
