Not that I have been working on both these songs all that time, but still, both were not exactly created overnight. Next up is a serious attempt at completing my version of Blind Date. - Hi friends, I've recently added four new songs to my page, relatively old for me but new for this site: Two more or less spontaneous instrumental improvisations (category: humor) and two songs, 'Bushmensong' and 'Mystery to Me'. The latter being based on an improvisation of words, guitar and Groove Agent. The lyrics seemed meaningless at first but in retrospect they reveal some meaning, at least to me. - I have finished another track for my Orpheus In Hell project. This one features Snowflake's spoken word piece Freedom, which is therefore the title of my song. You can also hear some excellent clarinet playing by Fireproof Babies, which he recorded specifically for this song. The track opens with a flute solo, originally called Still Life, which in its final version was inspired by the Dead Can Dance song Piece For Solo Flute from their splendid live album Toward The Within. I used a stretched and reversed version of my flute solo as an extra layer in the second part of the song. read more...

Description: For my international "On the wind" project on myspace, I asked several people to write a version in their own language and style for my song. Mindmovie is the first to come up with a beautiful german version called "Mit dem Wind". The german speaking people will notice that is freely translated lyrics are really beautiful and at the same time true to the original. The music is, as we are used from him impeccable. Sara England's emotional singing goes straight to the heart. Amazing work by 2 great artists here on mi7.

But what can one do, except hope for more luck the next time around. Anyway, 10 down and still 2 to go.
