Although This side is now soooo painfully slow that it is no longer a real funny thing to upload something - here is a new song. Welcome to any visitor who wants to leave a comment about the music. This title features Sara England on vocals - she as well as myself have discovered what it means when you a re trying to build a "house of love" with the wrong person. That's what this song is about.

I had to go to the UK for a few days. My wife accompanied me this time as she practicaly runs the day to day business. We stay in a beautifull hotel in Buxted East Sussex (Park Hotel). The nature is great and we made some long walks thanks to the good weather conditions. I've been to the UK several times, always by car because of my unjustified fear of flying.

All business is done and a nice colaboration is beeing set up for the near future. Kind of washes away the bad taste of my earlier business problems with my stealing office manager.

I (and my wife) in particular look forward to meeting Mike (Mich56341) on Saturday. Rene and I remixed his Dancing Pidgeon, and Mike added his vocals on our Follow the Bass.

With Mindmovie, who visited us with his wife in the Netherlands last year,  we were one of the first to join the MI7 community.

It promisses to be a very good spent Saturday afternoon filled with music, friendship and talk about life in general.

What a great Musik Messe this year. Steinberg introduced 3 new hardware products designed by Steinberg/Yamaha (816 MRX, 816 X Firewire converters and DSP processors and the CC121 controller) - great integration with the Cubase range of products - available Q3 - prices to be announced. SSL launched 2 MADI eXtreme Cards (64 and 128 channels) and the brand new Duende PCI-e Card (shipping!). SSL Pro-Convert is a software DAW project-conversion tool (PC Windows) what every studio needs! Much more to come (brands + products) when all agreements are finalized ... Ciao - Jan read more...

Yesterday, February 10 - for the 3rd time already, the 2008 Benelux MI7 Music ALIVE Event - a great event and meeting spot for professionals and music enthusiasts, a day full of workshops and new product presentations (SSL, Vicoustic, Steinberg, Propellerhead, Ableton) spread over 5 Seminar suites with etc. In the BIG Seminar suite special workshops  from: Simon Grey (Propellerhead) about the new Reason 4 and Refills (Abbey Road and Drums), Mr. Friedemann Tischmeyer (Tischmeyer Publications) writer and designer of the famous tutorial DVD's and Books 'Internal Mixing' and 'Mastering' techniques, Renier Vreugde (Teach Music) and Cristoph Stepan (Steinberg) gave continues one-to-one Q & A around Cubase 4 the new Cubase Essential 4 and SEQUEL, Auke Ferwerda and Chris Beemster (Duotone) gave a super workshop about the new Ableton LIVE 7 SUITE + New Ableton Instruments and SSL Mr. Jim Motley about Duende, Pro Convert and the brand new SSL Duende MINI. What really struck me is the enormous hunger of the end-user to learn more about their soft and hardware, special recording techniques for DAWs, the overall professional level of the visitors and the joy they have to talk to other users and people from the industry. For us it's great to offer this platform and meeting spot and to learn how they all use their software and gear in their own unique way.

247 visitors attended the ALIVE Event this time and we all had a great time on this beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon!

Thanks for visiting and hope to see you next year Februari 15  2009!

Special thanks to all MI7 Friends like DIVE and event partners; Teach Music - Interface Magazine - 365 MAG

A short time ago I wrote that I have been very busy. The reason for that is that one of my companies had to deal with a stealing employee.

Not only did she steal a huge som of money, she also frauded with tax papers and customer estimates leaving me with a substantial financial loss, not to mention the loss of confidence in people (wich I didn't).

It's a sad thing to have to discover that someone you trust like yourself is stealing and frauding and in the mean time socialising with here colleagues and supervisors as if nothing happend.

Should I share this with you all . . . probably not, but then again, it's in my mind and keeping me busy at this moment (a lot) so why not.
