- At last, I have finished my remix of Anchor's Atlas. Now, it may seem that I am on a roll here, but I started quite some time ago with both Atlas Reshaped and A Comforting Solution. Not that I have been working on both these songs all that time, but still, both were not exactly created overnight. Next up is a serious attempt at completing my version of Blind Date. - Hi friends, I've recently added four new songs to my page, relatively old for me but new for this site: Two more or less spontaneous instrumental improvisations (category: humor) and two songs, 'Bushmensong' and 'Mystery to Me'. The latter being based on an improvisation of words, guitar and Groove Agent. The lyrics seemed meaningless at first but in retrospect they reveal some meaning, at least to me. - I have finished another track for my Orpheus In Hell project. This one features Snowflake's spoken word piece Freedom, which is therefore the title of my song. You can also hear some excellent clarinet playing by Fireproof Babies, which he recorded specifically for this song. The track opens with a flute solo, originally called Still Life, which in its final version was inspired by the Dead Can Dance song Piece For Solo Flute from their splendid live album Toward The Within. I used a stretched and reversed version of my flute solo as an extra layer in the second part of the song. read more...

I could waste your time by talking at lengths about it, but Artie has said it all here. Description: For my international "On the wind" project on myspace, I asked several people to write a version in their own language and style for my song. Mindmovie is the first to come up with a beautiful german version called "Mit dem Wind". The german speaking people will notice that is freely translated lyrics are really beautiful and at the same time true to the original. The music is, as we are used from him impeccable. Sara England's emotional singing goes straight to the heart. Amazing work by 2 great artists here on mi7.

- After the rather easy June, July proved to be a more difficult piece to turn into something half-decent. And ofcourse I failed yet again. But what can one do, except hope for more luck the next time around. Anyway, 10 down and still 2 to go. I was hoping to finish the writing before september, which would mean that I would have been working on it for a year (well, more or less anyway), but the way things are going now I have serious doubts about making such a deadline. Went to the yearly Oslo music festival called Øya Festivalen yesterday, and saw a cool new band worth checking out if you`re into "americana"-type of music. Check out american band Okkervil River.

As all of you know, I am a devoted mom as well as a composer and musician. And as all of you know, I am a very vocal advocate for Autism Rights.
I enjoyed participating in Mindmovie's CCC project so much a few months ago that I was thinking it would be interesting to create a similar recording with snippets of my son's insights regarding Autism from an interview done with him in July 2007 and the update interview that was done with him last month.
What I am thinking of doing is using his comments along the lines of a hip hop / vocal dance mix composition. The purpose of the song would be to bring a better, more positive understanding of how children with Autism perceive the world in which they live ... our world, not their world.
I can only offer credits in lieu of money unfortunately. All of you are such incredible artists and all of you have been such good online friends to me in good times and in the most troubling times these past few months.
