Audio Editing and Mastering Suite. The ultimate all-in-one solution.

Seamless integration. Encode your Nuendo projects to DTS format in just a few mouse clicks.
If you're doing Surround Sound you need a DTS encoder, that's not optional. If you're using Nuendo this plugin is a very convenient way of exporting a DTS mix - it does 44.1 and 48k standard 5.1 DTS, and it does it very well. However the standalone software from DTS will give you 6.1 and 96k, though it's not as convenient for Nuendo users. Basically it's a choice between convenience and features...

Serves the needs for everyone producing sound for film, television, video or game production: Nuendo 3
Why Nuendo? To me, the answer is simple. If you're doing sound-to-picture, film work, surround sound, or anything involved with doing sound for broadcast, movies etc. you NEED Nuendo. It's incredibly fast, has amazing editing functions, and the best 5.1/6.1 surround sound implementation of ANY program. Plays back video natively, and even allows you to cut and splice the video track and sound tracks at the same time. Not only that, is a lot easier on the wallet than the alternatives. I've done several professional surround album productions on Nuendo and I wouldn't use anything else for the job. If you're serious about multi-track recording and mixing, you should be using this.

The ultimate phrase synthesizer. Includes real-time polyphonic phrase creation and live re-mixing functions.
yes, this is probably my favorite synth of all time, hardware or software. Like one of my other fave synths, the Emu Audity 2000, it's not very well known, it's not obvious how it works, and it's seems baffling at the beginning. But it makes sounds like nothing on earth, and I find it incredibly inspiring to work with. The presets are amazing too. Love it.

A new approach to synthesis! Limitless possibilities for creating and varying sounds.
If you like twiddling knobs, Plex isn't for you. It really dones't have knobs like a normal synth, it works more like lego, you just build the sounds you want by sticking together bits of other sounds. This means the sounds it makes all seem like they should really exist, even though they don't. It's a vrey organic way of making music. For that reason I really love it, it makes synth patches that sound like samples from another dimension. Easy to operate too!
