Viola Moment # 1 for solo viola

Donna Quijote

This one is in Swedish, but hey, then you get a taste of my native language! :) Written in January 2008 and mirrors feelings I've been having throughout my whole life. Word-by-word translation: Donna Quijote makes war without armour / makes war against enemies only she sees / She fights to prove herself worthy a medal / a place among the strong ones, a victory / Walks on a slack line, she climbs walls / She saves others from the flames / She's always ready, with words as weapon / but she doesn't get paid for her main guard / It's like she fights against windmills / Like Don Quijote in the old tale / Therefore she calls herself as a soldier / Donna Quijote

Not In My Eyes

"Not In My Eyes" was first written in 2004, but I rewrote it some in 2006. I wrote it for a dear friend, who sadly has left this Earth now.
