Genre

Hi all! If anyone has any suggestions as to which genre Scotomas music belongs, feel free to let us know. We´re leaning on Urban-pop, but are not 100% certain that is a genre... We tend to write music first without giving any thought to marketing and the likes.. Craig

Today I recommend: Cordion

I wouldn't worry too much about trying to come up with a genre description for other people. I doubt that people would find you based on a description; more likely come across one of your tracks and the music would either grab them instantly or not.
I find it's more important - especially when working as a group - that you define to yourselves what the music represents, so that you have a sort of measuring stick to sort the tracks by.
For what it's worth, "Lost" gives me a strong "nordic-meets-bluegrass" feel - especially with the tuba - rather than pop.
BTW - I like how you have a lyrics credit on "Gazing into the abyss". Very softly sung lyrics, methinks. :)

New "Gazing into the abyss" is now mixed and uploaded (with vocals ;-))

I already thought I was missing something. ;-) Now it sounds even better and is up there with Lost. Great stuff!
