Happy New Year!

The Swiss label 20kbps rec. is celebrating the Holidays with approximately 20 new releases for your listening pleasure.  I am pleased to announce that one of those albums is by me.  Look for "Winter" by Synthetic if you'd like to hear some mind-numbingly chill Winter music.  2 Selections are Dance numbers while the other 2 are very ambient soundscapes.  The bitrate is higher than I used to use, so definitely easier on the ears.  A 256-320 kbps version will be available in a week or two at OUIM.net.  In the meantime that hi bitrate version can be obtained at MegaUpload.  At MegaUpload Just enter the 3 letter code then select download, wait 30 seconds and select free download.

Oh man, the high-bit release is a wonderful treat. Kudos for making it available that way. I think I've commented before about the whole 20kbps concept that it's more interesting than enjoyable - but the tracks in their high-def glory are really good listening.
Wait - I didn't say that right. It's _really_ good listening. :)
Thanks for sharing this, and congrats on putting this album together - it's a very tight collection of tracks (my only exception is "snow angels" - its length makes it less practical to include in a playlist) - and I'm a happy camper to be listening to them right now.

I agree, it's great. Beautiful pieces of music. It kinda reminds me of the more recent Fripp & Eno stuff. But maybe that's just my first impression. I'll have to listen to it more often. The only thing missing is snow. ;-)

I should mention that the 2 different downloads are slightly different mixes as well with a different track line-up. My favorite songs "Dancing Snowflakes" and "Winter Drive" are available only on the high bit-rate version soon to be on the OUIM net label. "Snow Angels" is indulgently lengthy, intended for the extreme Ambient fanatics only.

I have completed a 15+ minute version of "Snow Angels" for those that just find it to be too lengthy. If you want that version, just leave me a message, comment or email.

15 minutes is too short mate :-) You know already i like Snow Angels and the other pieces, but i don't mind repeating that 'in public'. And did i say 'happy new year' yet?
