I cannot agree more with all of you, well I am one of the guys grown up playing my guitar and I still practise with my band every tuesday evening, in addition the internet and especially this place here offered me so many opportunities to play together with guys I would never have the chance to meet in real life just by exchanging files. I had collaborations with friends from the netherlands, UK, USA, Australia, Sweden, Norway and Germany. This is what I love most - the PC is just a new form of musical instrument and we should be happy that we have got this. It is still the person who is sitting in front of the PC who creates something and the internet is such a great opportunities to form up new bands and discover new blends of all sorts of music. I am of course not really behind making money with music - so as Elton - I simply love this and the feeling it creates for me and hopefully and audience who wants to listen to my stuff or participate.

Wail, I thought I done left a comment this afternoon, but no, I guess I didn't. What I said tho was that I'm damn glad them boys is learnin to actually PLAY their instruments and actually want to GET BETTER on em!!! Over in the bad (formerly good) ol USofA they mostly got it ass backwards. I got a couple of young pups on staff who are great examples of young American musicianhood. As I was strummin aimlessly the other day one of em said, "Hey Doghouse, what's that you're playin there?" "Why that there's real honest to goodness musical chords", I responded and added "You Dimwit" for good measure. The other one thanks it's "quaint" that I actually play my stuff into my DAW instead of just pickin out loops and draggin em around. "You're so yesterday", he says. And you know, I am at that. And you know what else? It is purty easy to drag them loops around so I can see how a lazy ass (not unlike myself) might get hooked on it. But geeze louise, ya should at least know yor guitar from yor ass. Shouldn't ya? I also agree that ol Elton's got it wrong about the internet thang destroyin kids formin and flailin away in "bands". Like ol Keith Richards once said, (and I paraphrase) we'll always have "lads with guitars round their necks".
