The answer is very simple; Boy does it ever! Yes, it works and really well. It's insane how well it works. This is one amazing piece of gear, every studio should have at least 1 at hand. It can be used for so many things. Tightening up vocals, isolating instruments from each other or why not putting in front of a kickdrum or a guitaramp to get that really "close up" and tight sound.
